Are you ready for some football?

If you are hosting a Super Bowl party, or just gathering around the TV with your family, you’ll definitely want to get your kiddos in on some of the fun. Here are a few winning games and activities for little ones both before and during the game.

super-bowl-ice-cream-sandwiches

Let’s skip the chips and dips for a while and move right to the desserts. One of our all time faves is the Super Bowl Ice Cream Sandwich. Not only is it tasty, but has high scores for its easy peasy and cuteness factor. Most definitely a great pregame make together activity for even the youngest fans. Charge on over to Kim Byers The Celebration Shoppe and you will surely agree this one will become a guaranteed win at your house.

diy-pom-poms

Get your cheering squad Pom Pom ready.  Pick up some crepe paper in your team colors. You’ll find the perfect coach for this activity over at the Inspired Treehouse. Lean to the left!  Lean to the Right!  Stand up, sit down. Fight! Fight! Fight! Go team! Fight! Fight! Fight!

super-bowl-snack-bags

What’s game day without chips? Another pregame activity for your entire team is ready for you to put into action. Only necessary is a roll of white tape (to make football laces) and some small brown kraft paper bags. This activity requires no practice, plus you will be quickly ready for kick off. Load up the bags with your favorite snacks or treats. Hostess with the Mostess was our inspiration. Don’t you dare fumble with this one –  let Jenn punt some of her other clever gridiron ideas to you too.

wall-football

Not that a Super Bowl game would ever drag out or bore your kids. Just in case, Wall Football could be a “safety”. It is sort of a pin the tail on the donkey for football called pin the football on the field goal. Do not stay blindfolded for long, because you will want to see this and many other great plays over at Rust and Sunshine.

super-bowl-bingo

In our opinion Kelly at Studio DIY  is the ideal draft pick, not just for football get togethers, but party planning all together. You will find the Super Bowl BINGO free printables at her DIY Studio. This game is ideal for both young and old to play  together. Do not be a loser and forget prizes for your BINGO winners. We like presenting an additional challenge to the game by using M&M’s (in your team’s colors of course) for marking the calls. Go ahead. Try not to eat your markers.

We are always looking for more suggestions of how to tackle the Super Bowl with kids. Please share your ideas.

We’ve run out the clock. Hope that this helps you make it into the end zone for your Super Bowl XLVIII.
