Don’t clean or luck will run away. It’s a Chinese custom not to clean the house during the first few days of the Chinese New Year. It is  believed that cleaning wipes away all the good luck, fortune and money. They throw away all the brushes, brooms and dust collectors.

We will most likely not be staying at this hotel next year – to our good fortune, looks like they are in for a run of bad luck.

We’ve got what you need when you are ready to clean up again. Until then, 新年快樂!

Okay, I know what some of you are thinking, “with your office you should be very very lucky”.

If I was going to be home for Valentine’s Day I would definitely be making these Saltine Caramel Hearts. Lil’ Luna has beautiful pictures with instructions so you can have these hearts too.

May get a clover pan when I return home and make Shamrocks for St. Patty’s Day.
